I live in blackpool…You need a train that is going to Blackpool SOUTH..there is a train station at the pleasure beach…

Im not sure if they run direct from manchester…if they dont its just a matter of changing trains at preston.

As for accomodation..there are hotels on site but they are expensive but as this is blackpool there are loads of other options close by…Blackpool Tourist Information phone number is 01253 478222.

You can get from Manchester Airport to Blackpool on the train via Preston. All the trains I’ve been on have always gone to Blackpool North which is miles away from the Pleasure Beach but it’s a nice walk, and you can see the park easily as you walk down the promenade because the rides are so tall (and scarey!). Try and get to Blackpool South if you can, failing that you will be able to get a tram. No tips on accommodation, there will be loads of hotels though in August they may get booked up (what with everyone holidaying at home in the recession). Try tripadvisor on this one as I can imagine the quality of hotels and b&bs in Blackpool could vary quite wildly and I wouldn’t want to leave this to chance if I was you.
